You make my whole face SMILE

This week over at Freshly Made Sketches, I decided to join in the fun and whipped up this card using their sketch. I used one of the sets I got for FREE during Sale A Bration this year, the end of March is drawing near soon...click HERE to place your order during Sale A Bration before all of THESE fun items are no longer available!

I edged the white cardstock with a bit of Pink Pirouette to make my card a bit more dreamy. A bit of sticky strip along the top, made for a perfect place to add a ruffled paper ribbon. And the Melon Mambo Embossing powder added the perfect pop of hot pink!

SU! products used:

Stamps - SAB Sprinkled Expressions
Paper - Lucky Limeade DSP, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, only one more month till Christmas!!! Ink - Versa Mark, Basic Black
Paper - Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake
Punch - Scallop Edge, Modern Label

SAS OCT SWAP

Holly chose this month's SWAP theme for our little SAS SWAP. We are to use orange, brown and a color of choice with a fall/harvest/Thanksgiving theme. I found the following inspiration photo over at Just Add Ink and got to work with my heat gun, trying to recreate the photo with my own flavor.

JAI89

Tangerine Tango is my new 'IT' color when reaching for an orange, I just love the warmth and it matches my living room decor! I wanted to pull the darker colors out of the photo, so I went with an Early Espresso for my brown and Basic Black.

I just love the new It's a Wrap Holiday stamp set and decided to stamp the "Give Thanks" image directly on top of the first, to create a side border. After stamping the image in Basic Black Craft ink and heat embossing, I added color to my leaves by sponging a bit of Tangerine Tango ink directly onto my image. The little acorns needed a smaller paint tool, so off to the bathroom for a QTip!

The Early Espresso background matting was roughed up with SU!'s Cutter Kit Tool.

SU! products used:
Stamps - Thoughts and Prayers, It's a Wrap Holiday
Paper - Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Early Espresso, Whisper White

Happy Birthday Seat

For the ladies who used to come to my monthly club meetings in TX, we've started up a monthly swap which I'm calling the SAS (San Antonio Swap), just so I can keep my head screwed on straight, haha! This last month, our challenge was Birthday cards using the Sweet Sunday #134 Sketch

This week over at the ColourQ, I snagged these colors to work with (basic black, chocolate chip, pear pizzazz, wisteria wonder & white) and without further ado, here's my card.

I stamped the little black chair in Versa Mark ink and then heat embossed with basic black embossing powder for a shiny and raised effect.

SU! products used:
Stamp Sets - Have a Seat, Happiest BirthdayWishes
Cardstock - In Color DSP patterned paper pack, basic black, chocolate chip, pear pizzazz, wisteria wonder & white
Ribbon - Basic Black Satin
Punches - scallop boarder
Ink - Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, Versa Mark, Basic Black

Ladies Create

Here are the WONDERFUL ladies who joined me at this months Stamp~A~Stack...there was much giggling going on throughout the afternoon, so I'm guessing everyone had fun
as you can see, Tanya just LOVES having her picture taken
Holly's stamping for TWO!
Angie had two helpers, Satine and Kowe were in lap heaven...

and as soon as Christina saw me taking solo shots, she quickly slipped behind me to take her turn with the Big Shot...I'll get her NEXT TIME, ha ha! :)

Stamp~A~Stack

12 cards, 3 of each design, $15 and a bottle of wine! Ok, so the bottle of wine didn't happen, I've found that mixing paper crafting with alcohol just doesn't mix very well, if you get my drift...

this is actually my least favorite, so I'll start with it first...

(To get the train, stamp train in Versa Mark ink, stamp image onto glossy card stock, brayer over with color of choice and then buff versa mark off with DRY Swiffer cloth)

This one's my FAVORITE...I LOVE how it turned out and the colors were inspired from flipping through my IKEA catalog
