May Club Projects

For the month of May, I thought it would be fun to do an "M-Theme"...

Mineral Oil (or baby oil)
Whisper White & Real Red Card Stock, Raspberry Tart DSP
Rustic Rooster-level 2-hostess stamp set
Classic Real Red & Kiwi Kiss Ink, Craft White & Timber Brown StazOn
SU! Watercolor Pencils, White Embossing Powder, Red Hemp Twine
1" Circle & 3/4" Circle Punches
Sanding Block

non SU! products Baby Oil & Paper Blending Stump
(you can find these at most art supply stores)
I pulled up a rooster photo online and used it as my color reference...after coloring my rooster, I dipped my blending stump into a bit of the baby oil and worked the colors together..it's best to sand off each color you are working on with your sanding block. I love how vivid the colors turned out and the rooster was SUPER fun to color!

 Matchbox - 3D project
Whisper White, Real Red Card Stock & Raspberry Tart DSP
A Little Somethin' Stamp Set
Big Shot : SU! Matchbox Bigz XL Die
Rose Red Stampin' Write Marker
Other: Sticky Strip
Accessories: 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon
I took 4 strips of the Raspberry Tart DSP, 3X1" and covered 4 little Hershey's Chocolate Nuggets, which nestled perfectly in the bottom of the box. Who doesn't need a bit of chocolate every now and again?

Masking
Pretty in Pink & Whisper White Card Stock & Raspberry Tart DSP
Garden Greeting Stamp Set
Tools: Word Window Punch & Ticket Corner Punch
Classic Rose Red, Regal Rose & Pink Pirouette Ink
Non SU! item - light pink rhinestones by Darice

For this technique, you need to first stamp the images on a piece of card stock or a sticky note and then cut around the images. Stamp your first image onto your card and place the cut out image on top-hold in place-and then stamp your next image...place a cut on on top of that and so on and so on...giving the illusion of dimension or layering.
