This Little Caterpillar sure is HUNGRY

I've recently been asked to make a few Hungry Caterpillar inspired cupcake toppers and well, you know me, I can't stop there!! I took the challenge one step more and created a whole Birthday party pack of inchworm fun!

Starting with my pennant banner...the Happy Birthday words are separated with a little finger stamped caterpillar perched on a leaf he's already taken a few bites out of!

here are the toppers, they'll come in red and green

and you can't have a party without invites AND of course a little something to thank all the party guests, matching thank you note cards!

I'm entering my banner over at The Shabby Tea Room, they are looking for a bit of pennant fun!

Golden Thanks

I totally stepped out of my comfort zone on this card...I tend to veer towards bright colors (at least I think I do) but wanted to finally use some of the coveted Spice Cake DSP. I pulled up the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and got to work with my natural and golden tones.

I used a grass EF from my stash for the piece behind the sentiment and sponged over it with Soft Suede to really show off the dimension.

 SU! products used:

Stamps - Inspired by Nature
Ink - Versa Mark, Soft Suede
Paper - Soft Suede, River Rock, Spice Cake DSP
Punch - XL Oval
Ribbon - Very Vanilla Seam Binding
Other - Gold Embossing Powder

Wedding Invitations

I was going back over my blog looking for the set of Calla Lily invitations and coordinating thank you's I made for a bride getting married in Nebraska last year and couldn't find them ANYWHERE...panic started to set in, thinking I didn't document all my hard work BUT I found the photos on my computer (whew!). With Christmas this past year, a new baby, a deployment in our family and LOTS of company, I must've just forgotten to post them!! Sooo, without further ado.....

I've named these the
Lacey Calla Lily

Baby Thanks

I keep running out of baby thank you for little Asher man, so decided to use this weeks Card Patterns sketch as inspiration to whip up a batch. I really wanted to call this post, "Thanks...I Think" but wasn't sure if anyone would get my funny! Thought this little elephant was so cute stamped in Craft Chocolate Chip and embossed with Clear embossing powder...so I decided to give him a little tag along buddy, to hold onto his tail but well ya know, not sure if it looks like that...or that he's poking him in the bum, there I said it! Eeek! Dare I?? I'm seriously laughing out loud writing this, so I hope you'll find it a bit humorous as well. Elephant #2 is stamped in Marina Mist.
I ran a strip of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot in the SU! Square Lattice Impressions Folder, dabbing a bit of Marina Mist ink around the edges with a sponge. My little elephants looked like they needed a snazzy little place to stand, so a piece of Sticky Strip, sprinkled with Stampin' Glitter in Baja Breeze and viola, a shiny little road! My first attempt at working with Seam Binding, so fun! I stamped my sentiment from the Hostess level 1 stamp set Afterthoughts (found in the front of the 2010/2011 Idea Book & Catalog) directly onto the bumpy cardstock and quite like the crackled effect it presents us with.

Blasted Thanks

These are a wee bit late since my sons Birthday was in November but I figured I'd still post them...better late than never, right?
We had a Buzz themed party at our favorite playground and when I saw this cute rocket paper, I just knew I had to use it for his thank you cards. He even helped put the Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the Top Note! Can't believe my baby boy is 3!!
Happy Birthday Alasdair!!

Blue Baby Thanks

I ran out of the last bunch of baby boy Thank you cards I had made for Asher, so started on a different design the other day using mainly RETIRED SU! product. The bear is NON SU! and of course I decided to cut EVERY single one out by hand...
