Challenge #93 at Hand Stamped Sentiments - Bargello Technique

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments, we are featuring the Bargello Technique, I'd never heard of it before...not gonna lie, I had to google it and after watching this fab tutorial HERE, I knew I could give it a whirl (or a shimmy). It was so fun and easy, this may just be my new signature background, haha!

I did however NOT cut my paper at different sizes, only at 1/2" width...ooops!

Can't wait to see all of your beautiful creations, don't let this technique scare you, seriously it's sooo much easier than it looks and what a WOW you get from your DSP! Just cut your strips to the desired width, and then stick them down to a sheet of scrap paper. Cut your paper into the same width of strips but with your stripes going the other direction, so it'll look like you have little squares on your strips. Then just place your strips down, in whatever pattern you choose on another piece of scrap paper. I ran mine through my Big Shot with the Top Note die for a nice and simple finished edge but this would also look great as the entire background. (hope this makes perfect sense, if not, check out the video linked above) and then head on over to Hand Stamped Sentiments to link up your creations and check out all the other fab Bargello works of art the DT has in store for you!

Cute card. Like the idea of cutting the bargello out using the top note die.
